Sponsored by Arena Fitness Centre in Porirua, and organised on race day by the Titahi Bay Community Church, the Fun Run/Walk event is a stunning and achievable 7.5km run or walk from Titahi Bay over the Whitireia Park headlands and coastline. It’s open to anybody and includes the “Schools Challenge”. With Best Dressed prizes why not dress up to make it more FUN than run!

Race Pack pickup (1st April) – details here
Race Day timetable (2nd April) – details here (10:30am: Fun Run race briefing; 11am: Start.  Note that Fun Runners using the FREE BUS service to Titahi Bay beach must be at HQ at 9:15am)

The Fun Run/Walk event is open to anyone over age 7 and/or School Year 3; parents must sign the waiver for any child under age 16. We ask that all children and/or school teams under Year 6 and/or Age 10 are accompanied by an adult. There is a mass start – so please line children up appropriately so they don’t impede the fastest runners. This is to ensure the safety of all involved!

Dogs on short leashes allowed – they must be kept under control and you must bring a pooper scooper! Good etiquette requested so that other participants are not held up or put at risk of tripping or being threatened by dogs.

The Fun Run / Walk (including Schools Challenge) starts on the beach in Titahi Bay – outside the Surf Club (limited parking on Toms Rd – so factor on walking to the start from either end of the beach, or parking on Tireti Road).

There is a FREE SHUTTLE BUS service to Titahi Bay must be at HQ – please arrive at Whitireia Polytech by 9:15am to grab your ride! But if you are bringing a dog – please arrange your own transport to the race start.

There are two drink stations on the Fun Run course – approximately at the 1/4 and half way points – these are run by Titahi Bay Community Church and Arena Fitness.

The event finishes in the central courtyard at Race HQ, which is Whitireia Campus, Wineera Dve, Porirua.
